Amour Amour Amour

If we could all live and love like this....Life would be grand. NEW PERSONAL GOAL: Striving to love like 1 Corinthians 13!

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have no love, I am only a resounding gong or clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountain, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Une Nuit De Filles!

"Oh, how I want to break free!"
- Q u e e n

"Some people refuse to settle for anything less than butterflies"
- s e xx . a n d . t h e c i t y

Don't allow yourself to accept anything less than what you deserve - it's not being selfish, or self righteous. It's about not lying to yourself; and not letting yourself be less appreciated than you deserve. If someone can't love you, and appreciate you for everything you are, everything you love, and everything you stand for, and doesn't want you for you, then you shouldn't want them.

Save a Monday - Buy a Biscuit

I have found that the only way to save a Monday filled with absent black bean burgers at Cap Ale, tired as efff eyes, homework to finish at 1:00AM, and a plethora of gas spent on random little adventures.... is to buy yourself some biscuits.
Put's a smile on my face! :D

GoOoD DAY!
"May your life be filled with color; both in pigments and in adventure; Dream of butterflies, for it's inspiration they give."
Ephesians 4:1-6
"1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
- I love this verse. I have been reading Ephesians lately, and have been loving these verses! This one inparticular: humility, gentleness, patience, and loving eachother are such important virtues to have. In the sermon today at church the preacher was talking about remembering our baptisms. In our faith, we have to remember that moment, and remember the state of mind we were in! Completley ready and willing to be taken up by the Lord, and repent of all of our sins. Baptism is a one time thing that God will cherish and respect forever... his promise will never fade. But we need to remember our states when we made that committment as well.

To No Avail..

You know what sucks? Working hard on something for someone for an extended period of time...then in the end not being able to give it to them.

2/16/2010

I meant to post this earlier, but I forgot...

Tuesday was my parents 30th Anniversary! They have been married for thirty years... That's a big mile marker. I was wondering if anyone had any sort of suggestion of something I could do for them? (Yes, I know this is late...but I always do things for them late... I am a procrastinator after all).

Song of Solomon
8:6
"Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm; for love is strong as death, jealousy as fierce as the grave. It's flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it."

Seriously considering a beach trip this weekend. Really needing the outdoors, sunshine, and some H2O!!!

Smile=]

It's winter, and I'm smiling! I wish I could be outside right now just soaking in the bit of sun that God's shedding right now.... But I have to write this paper : /
But for the moments I was outside, the sun on my face gave me a refreshing smile. Gotta love God.

If someone wants to buy me the P!nk Funhouse album, I will love them forever.

The Half...

Once again, on my way to work this morning, I found the balloons where I last saw them, tied together on that wire. However, one balloon was almost completely deflated, where are the other one was full of air - and full of life. But they were still tied together. I guess that's how they're supposed to be. Maybe if the one balloon gave some of that air to the other balloon it would learn how to love it's life again....It looked sad (if a balloon could really look sad). And the other one just seemed like it wanted it's little balloon friend to be filled again. But you can't fill something that doesn't want to be filled.

La Liberté Dans Le Combat

Freedom in the Fight

On my way to work this morning, I was listening to a beautiful Johann Strauss piece. It was raw, passionate, romantic, and innocent all in one... It was a beautiful piece, and I wish I knew the title. While I was at a stop light, I noticed two balloons tangled on an electricity wire across the street. They were tied together on the wire, and couldn't be separated. During the sweet, soft parts of the songs, I noticed that they swayed together in unison. During the more rough and passionate parts of the songs, it seemed like they were almost fighting. They struggled to pull away from each other and get loose. The wind pulled them in every direction, but despite their fight, they were tied together... It's how they were supposed to be. I got the impression, that if they just got through the rough winds together, that their liberation from the wire would be that much greater, because they got through it together. They were able to prevail during something that seemed so hard at the time, to make their journey worth while in the end. Their struggle together brought them freedom in the end. They never let go... they didn't let the rough winds tear them apart... and because of that, they were able to sway together slowly again.

Sain et Sauf :)

The lord has my <3.
I know he will take care of me.
He will keep it and he will love it always.
He knows my hearts true desires and wants.

Thank you for this morning!

Ephesians 5:15-17
"Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is."

God wants us to love each other. Encourage each other. And lift each other up. So...that's what I'll try to do C:

:Song of Songs:
Chapter two verses fourteen through seventeen

Lover
"My dove in the clefts of the rock, in the hiding places on the mountainside, show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is so sweet, and your face is lovely. Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom."

Beloved
"My lover is mine and I am his; he browses among the lilies. Until the day breaks and the shadows flee, turn, my lover, and be like a gazelle or like a young stag on the rugged hills."
